So now I’m going to be a storeman. Haha. I wonder if its going to be at all fun. The training camp will be at bukit timah for me. Argh. 5.30am wake up I suppose. Lol. 1hr30mins bus ride. Switch to Shuttle bus. Reach. Lol. That’s the plan. But first day (tomorrow) shall be a cab day, well, at least that’s what my dad suggest. I hope they post me somewhere near my house after the training! Or it’ll be a tiring 2 years for me. Lol.

Hahaha. That’s all actually nothing much.

The first 2 weeks passed by so slow I swear it felt like ages. We were getting used to a 17hour day as we woke up 4.45am-5am in order to fall in by 5.30am for short exercises. Breakfast follows. Then the routine day passes. Morning is the most painful. We complete several activities and find ourselves still stuck in the very same hour where we use awaken in Singapore. Lunch comes along. More activities. And its dinner. Sometimes there are activities after dinner, when there are none we get admin time for durations between 15minutes – 2hours. Its for us to bathe, call home and stuff like that. With 8 cubicles, 60 people sharing the levels. There were times we don’t exactly get to bathe especially if you don’t sprint up to your bunk. Unlock your stuff and go for the bath.

The slow days pass and I suppose that was what gives you the opportunity and (in some state of desperation) bond with people around you. Hahah. You find all sorts of people around you, learn about experiences people have in their life.

Hmm. The days do get better toward the end of the confinement. So it all builds up towards a new joy we know as BOOK OUT DAY! Hahah. The first will always be the best, all that follows won’t be as good I suppose.

Hmm. So I had my first book out and the 4 days flashed by. And I was in camp all over. For shooting this week. So the week had very little physical activities. Practicing our drills. Learning to maintain our rifle. The day that then dawned on us and we shot at targets from morning till midnight.

The previous computerized simulations gave us better view of aiming and strengthened out fundamentals. The real life firing only gave louder noise, greater recoil and of course filled the air with clouds of gunpowder. Well, after the first shot everything felt like it would be fine. The only nervousness I had was to be careful not to misfire and lose my bookout days! hahah.

Well, we passed and many of us got our marksman. Not a difficult thing to achieve I suppose. Though I barely made it. Haha.

That’s about it. Upcoming highlights for me would be hand grenade throwing and going through a field camp. After which it’s IPPT, which is similar to NPAFA! And woosh I’m PASSSSSING OUTTTTT. 27th Aug here I come!

Hmm I think I’m also done with 4/10 of the pages. Hahaha. 400 out of 1000. LOL. Damn, how am I going to finish the next 2 books by Monday. Hahah.

Anyway, besides that life has been mundane in the day. DOTA. Hahaha. As long as my internet allows me, I’m usually in game. Hahah, aside from the above-mentioned reading.

And Wednesday/Saturdays recently have been spent “powerhousing”. Hahaha. Urghhh. I think I’ve been going so often, I can recognise strangers! Hahahaha. I see them there all the time. But still I think it’s pretty fun. Hahah. I don’t know why.

Hmm. Ah well, enjoy while I can! Monday’s the dayy. 9.45am BMTC School 2. 9am at Pasir Ris terminal they are gonna bulk carry us in a bus to the Ferry Terminal. Hahahah.

So I’ve been pondering about life, in all it’s wonder, in line with all my beliefs. And I suppose as complicated as life gets, I think we should all set a simple base line to get back to. And I’ve set mine at I shall smile as much as I can, along with making people around me smile. All the other goals about money, life, love and future. Well, they are all important. But, I always think people get lost chasing too many wants and needs sometimes. Just saying, have a checkpoint in life. Hahah.

Yet still, I’m disappointed. I placed so much trust.

I suppose I should know by now, right and wrong, its all a matter of perception.

Sigh.
